Yesterday my cousin was telling me that he and his basketball teammates bingewatch Jersey Shore, and my other cousin's husband put me on a docuseries by the Tiger King ppl called "chimp crazy", so my watchlist of eccentric reality tv is growing.
To stay off the phone for a while, I find that trying a new hobby works. But it has to be something you actually like doing, not something you're forcing yourself to do, otherwise you'll stop eventually. One of my favorites is piano because it accommodates my sometimes short attention span, but it also feeds the soul. Other musical/artistic/creative hobbies can do this too, I think. Katie and I have some (interesting) shared memories involving music and performance, which I'm sure she'd be happy to vent about to anyone who asked 😉
